NEW And NOW Is A FAD !...COOL! Is FOREVER!!

4 DOOMED smartphone trends that crashed + burned! ????

Smartphone history is peppered with many examples of milestone features, whether it’s the iPhone 6 Plus’s zoom camera, the Pixel 3’s Night Sight or more recently super-smooth 120Hz screens. But for every big-selling new phone feature there are dozens more examples of dead-end tech that eventually, for whatever reason, just doesn’t work out. And we’re going to take a look at a handful of the WORST of those today.

Quick disclaimer before we begin: This is a list of four of our favorite standout feature trends that flopped, not individual product features. So for example we’re not including the HTC U12+’s virtual buttons or Pixel 4’s Soli radar. Those features, although bad, never appeared in any subsequent products and rather were one-off flops.
