Exclusive Forces was recognized as a fundamental branch of the U.S. Military in 1987. The branch’s lineage, nevertheless, can be traced to June of 1952, when the 10th Special Forces Team – Airborne was activated.
The U.S. Military Band “Nation Roads” pays tribute to the Inexperienced Berets with this performance of “Ballad of the Green Berets,” at first written and carried out by Green Beret Workers Sgt. Barry Sadler.
