NEW And NOW Is A FAD !...COOL! Is FOREVER!!

Carrie Underwood Just Hit a Record-Breaking Milestone — and Made Country Music History

Carrie Underwood’s latest accomplishment puts her in a league of her own.

The “Jesus, Take the Wheel” crooner, who is already an 8-time Grammy Award winner, can add another milestone to her already impressive resume, as she’s officially become the highest RIAA-certified female country artist of all time.

The record-breaking achievement comes after selling more than 95 million units, including22.5 million albums and 72.5 million singles, spanning both solo work and collaborations, across the U.S., a press release from MCA and the Recording Industry Association of America announced.

The American Idol winner—who went on to take a seat behind the judge’s table of the singing competition in later years—was in complete awe of receiving the honor, giving the ultimate credit to her adoring fans.

“Accomplishments like this are more than I would have ever dared to dream of when I was starting out,” the 42-year-old said in a statement, shared with Parade, adding, “I owe everything to the fans, who have literally voted for me from the beginning of my career and have shown up and given me so much love for over 20 years. I feel truly blessed.”

Underwood was honored with a commemorative plaque following her recent performance at the Grand Ole Opry, marking a fitting tribute for one of country music’s most enduring artists.

“This monumental achievement solidifies Carrie Underwood’s legacy as a generational talent and a true titan of the music industry,” said MCA President & CEO Mike Harris. “It’s a testament to the unparalleled connection Carrie shares with fans and the enduring power of her artistry.”

The powerhouse vocalist and entertainer’s highest-certified titles include her debut album, “Some Hearts” (9x Platinum), the massive hit that continues to be a go-to karaoke song, “Before He Cheats” (11x Platinum), the powerful “Blown Away, (5x Platinum), “Cowboy Casanova,” “All-American Girl,” “Church Bells,” and her latest Platinum-certified collaboration with Cody Johnson, “I’m Gonna Love You.”

And with the holidays just around the corner, the timing couldn’t be perfect, as Underwood’s festive classic “Favorite Time of Year,” from her 2021 album “My Gift,” dethaws and earns a Gold Certification.

Per the release, Underwood now boasts over 100 major awards (including 25 CMT Awards with the record for the most award wins ever and three ACM Awards for Entertainer of the Year, making her the first female in history to win twice and the only female ever to win three times), 29 No. 1 singles and eight Multi-Platinum or Platinum albums, with her music reaching Las Vegas stages through her Reflection residency, streaming now on Hulu and Disney+ worldwide, and streamed on her exclusive SiriusXM channel Carrie’s Country.

There’s no stopping Underwood’s influence, which extends beyond music, as she’s also got a fitness brand, Calia, a bestselling book, Find Your Path, and has lent her winning voice to Monday Night Football for 13 consecutive seasons.

Twenty years after the world got to know her on American Idol, Underwood continues to be atrailblazing woman in country music with no signs of slowing down, and we can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve next.
