Western Fashion Shines at the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards

Western fashion was a big winner at the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards Thursday night in Frisco, Texas.

Hosted Reba McEntire, the show welcomed a star-studded roster of artists to the stage to perform including Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Kane Brown, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Avril Lavigne, Post Malone, Parker McCollum, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson.

There were plenty of style moments on stage. Lainey Wilson opened show, performing “Hang Tight Honey” in head-to-toe red leather. Miranda Lambert wore dark denim corset and jeans with black leather chaps. The fringe and studded details on her cropped jacket added drama for the stage. Post Malone looked relaxed in his signature slim Wrangler jeans and retro football shirt. Noah Kahan and Thomas Rhett both wore tobacco-colored suede shackets with classic jeans.

Cowboy hats and bolo neckties were popular on the red carpet. Markell Washington wore the traditional Western accessories with his upcycled denim jeans and coat.

Others kept it cool in all black looks, including Prana Supreme Digg and Tekitha Washington, who complemented one another in black denim and black leather. INK added a pop of turquoise jewelry to her black blazer and embellished black jeans.

Wrangler, which was an official sponsor of the awards, had a large presence at the event as several of its endorsees were named as nominees and performers. Longtime brand ambassador Cody Johnson earned five nominations and performed his hit “Dirt Cheap” on stage.

Wrangler collaborator Lainey Wilson who was also up for five nominations, took hope Entertainer of the Year and Female Artist of the Year. Wilson, whose exclusive capsule collection with Wrangler will be launching this fall, has been showcasing a few of the collection’s hero pieces throughout ACMs week.

Through a multi-year agreement with the Academy of Country Music, Wrangler said it is “championing the next generation of country music artists and celebrating the best of the West.”
